How to Draw a Plane

Step 1.


Start off by making a slightly arched body line for the plane like you see here, and then one other line for the wings.

Step 2.


Next, draw the shape of a torpedo to make the shape of the body, and then draw out the form of the plane's wing.

Step 3.


Now you can draw the two or three tail pieces for the planes design like you see here. Most 747's have the same body type. Once that is done, you will then draw a decorative wing design like the one you see here, or you can leave it plain. After that   

Step 4.


It's now time to draw out the other wing which is in the distance, and then draw the two engines under the plane wing. You can then add the stripes on the engines, and then draw the shape of the door.

Step 5.


To finish off this awesome drawing, all you need to do is draw in the windshields, and all of the passenger windows and door like you see here. Cool huh? Once that is done, start erasing the lines and shapes that you drew in step one.

Step 6.


Here is how your plane looks when you are done, and because you are finished, you can start adding some cool colors to make your newly drawn plane a bit more festive.

Description: Hey guys, I'm back with another fun drawing lesson that will teach you how to create your own flying machine on paper. What I mean by that is, I will teach you "how to draw a plane", step by step. Drawing an airplane has got to be one of the hardest things to do when you are going for a real detailed sketch. If you are a novice artist, you can probably get an airplane drawn in just under twenty minutes or so because sketching something that takes skill to draw, can easily be done in a simple way. I wanted to make this drawing for all of you artists that want to "draw a plane" in a real simple fashion. I chose to draw a 747, in a cute cartoony way so that it will be easy for anybody to tackle. I only have a couple of drawings on airplanes, and some of those really needed to either be updated, or make another lesson for the same subject. No matter how you look at it, kids and adults will love this tutorial because you can now draw a plane with ease just by using this free online drawing tutorial. I think you will find that making one of these motorized gliders, is as easy as 1, 2, 3.
