How to Draw a Fiery Skull, Skull in Flames
1
Make a circle for your base shape. This will be your guide for making the skull design. Add the facial guidelines too.
2
Instead of working on the skull first, we will draw out one of the wings. This wing should look more loose then feathery. The feather tips should look more like hair than anything else. When the wing is drawn move to step three.
3
Now we can start working on the skull. Start by sketching out the structure of the skull an in this case it's small and stubby. The brow bone should be prominent, as well as the cheek bone. Draw in the top jaw line which should have the indents for e

Now is the time that you will draw out the entire row of teeth. Make sure that the teeth you draw match or line up with the notches you made in the previous step. Once that is done sketch out the nose hole, as well as the eye socket for the skull's e

Now we will add all the detailing to the wing. Here is where you will draw two layers of feathers. The smaller layer will be at the base of the wing and the second with be right on top of the larger feathers.

For your last drawing step all you have to do is draw out the second wing which is hidden a bit behind the one that is up front. When you are done with the detailing you can start erasing your mistakes that you made throughout the lesson.

Description: It's been a long time since I made any new skull tutorials so I thought that it was high time that I get on it and make another. I can remember when I used to submit skull designs almost all the time to the site, now I'm side tracked with making lessons on other things. I really wish I could get back to making cool tattoo style stuff, but would require a lot of thinking and planning and I just don't have the time for that and that stinks. I really love drawing skull designs because I can be as creative as I like without restrictions. This tutorial is on how to draw a fiery skull, step by step. Along with the flames I've included some nice wings to make it look like the skull is flying on fire. This is a rocking design that I could totally see on t-shirts and tattoo parlors. I love the smoky trail that follows behind the skull. It gives it a nice mean look with a ton of hardcore style. If you have always wanted to draw a skull on fire with a set if wings, now is your chance. I think this will be enjoyed by folks that love skull art because it's as raw as it gets. Well, maybe not that raw but pretty close. I will be back with two more tuts so stick around people there is more where this came from.
