How to Draw a Dark Geisha

For the first step you will sketch out the face shape for your Geisha and because this is a close-up view of the face, the face shape should be large.

In this second step you can draw out the hairstyle which is also the formation of the head shape. The bangs are straight lined with some notches or spaces, and the length of her hair is short on the sides.

This Geisha's eyes are almost completely shut. Her lashes are thick, long and wide and they also shape out the eye formation. You will then draw in a small simple lined nose. Take your time with her eyes so they come out beautiful.

This is a very simple step because all you have to do is draw in her small almost heart shaped lips.

Draw in more of her hair which gets longer the further you go back. Detail her hair for added texture as well then draw in an ear.

For the last step, all you have to do is draw in the tattoo on her face. It's of an Asian inspired flower design that flows down the cheek, jaw, and neck as you can see here. If you don't like this tattoo design you can go with one of your own. Erase

Description: This is one of my favorite drawings from yesterday's work schedule. Today I will be sharing with all of you "how to draw a dark Geisha", step by step. I love Geisha, I think they are beautiful, mysterious, and just pieces of art even in their human form not with just drawings. I don't have a lot of Geisha drawings but I love drawing them out when I feel in the mood. Yesterday I was in the mood because I watched 'Memoirs of a Geisha' and felt inspired. Hopefully you love this concept as much as I do. It would also make a great tattoo design.
