How to Draw a Cartoon Snake
1
Start with a circle for the snakes head, and then draw a long swirl line for the body. Next, add the facial guidelines on the head.
2
Next, use the facial guidelines to draw the shapes of the snakes eyes, and then begin sketching out the face structure. In this case, the face has a defined and formed nose.
3
Finish drawing the shape of the snakes head including the chin, and arched brows. You will also need to draw the two slits for pupils, and then draw the small arch for the nostril hole. Lastly, draw the slithering tongue, and then begin drawing the s

Start this step by drawing the shape of the belly of the animal, and include the lines for the belly scales. When drawing the belly, the end lines should form into a point.

You will now draw the rest of the body, and don't forget to draw the tail. Add some spots, and be sure to make them different. Add some detailing to the head, and then you can start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.

Description: As some of you may have realized by now, drawing animals for me has become such a fun adventure. Over time I have gotten better, and better at drawing and for all of you that has been with Dragoart since the beginning, you already know how much the lessons have improved. When ever I get a chance, I will go back and redo some of the old tutorials that I submitted because compared to how I can draw now, they look so bad. In the beginning, my experience I had with a tablet was limited. Now that I have been using a tablet for so long, drawing on it now, seems like paper to me. This tutorial is going to show you "how to draw a cartoon snake", step by step. I have drawn plenty of snakes, as you can see in the snake section under the animal category, but none are not as easy to draw as the one you see here. What makes a snake hard to draw is all the scales they have on their hides. This can all be avoided just by sketching out a simplified version on one of the worlds most popular animals. This lesson is guaranteed to be fun because drawing a snake has never been so easy. I will be back later with more drawing fun so stay tuned in.
