How to Draw a 3-D Scorpion

1

Start off by making three shapes, one for the body, and two for the claws.

2

Using the guides you just made, sketch out the thick, rounded claw and limb shape.

3

All you have to do here is draw the other claw like so. This one will be short due to the view of the limb.

4

Draw the arm for the claw and then make the crease line for the claw's tooth.

5

Here is where you will sketch out the cone shaped body. When you do this be sure to keep the body lined with ribbed edges and sides.

6

Begin drawing out two of the four legs on the left side of the body. Add the seam lines on the legs, then some detailing on the claw.

7

Here all you have to do is draw two more legs, then add detailing to them as well.

8

You can now sketch the entire row of legs on the right side of the scorpion's body. Don't forget to detail as well.

9

Next up, draw the tail and stinger like so, then you are all done. Erase the mistakes then there is nothing left to do.

10

Here is the finished drawing when you are all done. Now all that's left to do is add color.

Description: For those of you that wanted to see more 3-D tutorials, this one is for you. Today I have a lesson that will teach you "how to draw a 3-D scorpion", step by step. I actually love making these 3-D tuts because it's almost like making something come to life with a drawing. The thick rounded claws and plump looking body makes it almost hard to tell if what I'm looking at is alive. If it wasn't for the metallic coloring, I could be fooled myself. Have fun and you're done!
