Drawing Colossus Step by Step

Draw or make four different sized shapes for Colossus' body guides. There should be guides for the head, torso and hands.

Next, use the head guide to draw in the actual structure of Colossus' face shape. Also incorporate the ear and then draw in the hairstyle.

You will define the hair to give it dimension. When that is done you can sketch out the face. Start with the eyes, then move down to the nose, mouth and all the detailing to the face to create his expression.

We can get busy drawing Colossus' colossal body. Start with the thick, strong neck. Then draw in the shoulders, torso outline and then his right arm and fist. Notice how the fist is big and powerful looking. Add definition to the arm to define the mu

Here you will add some serious definition to his strong neck, then draw in the rest of the left arm and hand.

We are almost done. What we will do now is draw the tight leather vest and add all the definition to the vest which is an X-Men pattern.

Finally, draw in the grooved lines that makes up Colossus' body. Before you draw those grooves, erase the guidelines and mistakes.

When all is said and done you should have a drawing that looks like the one you see here. Add some color and you are all set.

Description: Here is a figure that has a big role in the new film Deadpool which hit theaters last weekend. Today, we will be learning how to draw Colossus, step by step. He is one of the more popular characters from the Marvel Comics franchise. If you remember in X-Men 2 Colossus wanted to stay behind to help Wolverine or Logan when Striker's men invaded the school. Logan told Colossus to stay behind and help the kids, but in the new movie he and Deadpool are friends. Anyways, I really had a lot of fun with this lesson, and I hope you do too.
