Drawing a Couple Step by Step
1
We will begin by drawing the body guide profile for the female first which is just two shapes and some guidelines. The guidelines are for the arms and lower body.
2
Using the head/face guide draw the profile of the girl's face starting with the forehead. Draw in the hair lining as well as the shape of her ear.
3
Continue to work on the face by drawing and coloring in the eyebrow. When that is done draw the closed eye and lashes. Add detailing inside her ear and then draw the jawline.
4
The next thing we will do is draw the actual shape of her head and then incorporate her long, straight hairstyle which softly falls off her shoulder and down her back. Don't forget to draw in the hair strand lining too for texture detail.
5
Let's work and focus on the body starting with the shoulder and arms. As you can see one hand is gripping the top of her companion's head and the other is wrapped around the head in a coddling expressive pose.
6
Here you will work on the man's face and head. Start with the shaggy hairstyle and when that is done draw in the face. His eyes are closed and his face is saddened. Add the scuff marks on his face, we don't know why he is sad, but one can only imagin

You can now draw the back, shoulder and arm. Sketch in the chest and all the muscle definition on his body.
8
For the girl, draw the lining of her back and then draw the blanket, towel or what have you around her waist and on her thigh. Draw the creases and folds and then draw some of the lining for the thigh and leg.
9
The last drawing step consists of his hand resting on her thigh. When a man cries to a woman he wants to be held in a loving grip just as a mans mother would when he was a child. Men leave their mothers to find wives, and then it's the wives that bec

Description: This is a concept that I worked on while listening to a lot of Nirvana and Alice in Chains. I found myself overwhelmed by the emotional sound that came out of every song I heard and it also reminded me how two of the worlds most gifted musical artists are no longer with us to keep doing what they do best and that is make music. I do realize that if they where alive today, their sound wouldn't be the same because they do have to change with the times, but still I will always love Nirvana and Alice in Chains. This drawing concept is an image of what I was thinking about when I listened to the two bands. I felt they were singing about emptiness, isolation and being alone. As you can see in the image, the couple deeply care for one another and will always be there for each other through the hard times and good time. I think they look very angelic and the coloring was done to make the drawing look that way. I hope you enjoy this concept I call 'Stand by You'. I shall return with some characters from Deadpool so stay tuned in.
