Drawing a Self Portrait, Dawn from Dragoart

Start with a guide for the head and sketch in the facial guidelines.

We will draw the shape of the face in detail and then draw in the hairline which should be somewhat jagged.

Use the facial guidelines to draw the eyebrows and color them in. When that is done you can go ahead and start the drawing process for the eyes and nose. After that sketch in detailing for the cheeks, frown lines around the nose and add a nose ring.

Finish the eyes and add the brow piercing. Next, draw in my mouth which is snarling like in a way to say, "eh, whatever".

We will draw my neck shape and then draw in the exposed ear. Add the piercings to my ear and then draw out the hairstyle. Add some detailing to the hair like strand lines, then proceed to the last drawing step.

Lastly, draw in the shoulder, arm and clothing detailing. Erase the mistakes and you are ready to see what the line art should look like.

Description: Hey guys. Today I have a really weird lesson. I went ahead and created this drawing on myself because I wanted to make a tut that can show us how to draw a self portrait, but in this case it's myself. I guess you can say that this is also a tut on how to draw Dawn from Dragoart. I did have a lot of fun with this creation. I think if you want to cartoonize yourself all you have to do is focus on the recognizable traits to your face that distinguishes you from everyone else. For me it's my eyes, nose, air and nose. I guess that's like that for everyone but this is my way of doing a self portrait in cartoon style. Anyways, have fun and thanks for joining me.
