How to Draw the Arizona Cardinals, Big Red

Step 1.


Make an egg shape for the head, then sketch in the facial guide.

Step 2.


Next, begin sketching out the structure of the cardinal's forehead, then the pointed feathers in the back part of the head.

Step 3.


Next, draw the big eye, color in the pupil, then draw the beak of the bird. Don't forget to draw the upper and bottom mandibles.

Step 4.


Lastly, finish drawing the shape of the cardinal's head, then color in the front part of the neck, as well as around the eye and beak. The coloring should be black because Big Red is black and red. Erase your mistakes when you are done too.

Step 5.


That's it, you are all done. Now you have yourself a fully drawn image of the Arizona Cardinal's bird or mascot Big Red.

The Arizona Cardinals is an American football team that is owned by Bill Bidwill. The mascot for the team is a red cardinal called 'Big Red'. The Cardinal's team colors are red and white, and they are coached by Bruce Arians. I like drawing the animal mascots of various teams because they make them look so real, but animated at the same time. Drawing Big Red is obviously going to be easy because all you are doing is making a cutout style drawing in the form of a cardinal's head.
