How to Draw Sub Zero from Mortal Kombat X

Step 1.


Start off with a very basic sketch, just to get the pose and proportions right .

Step 2.


Now construct the outline of the body on your basic sketch .

Step 3.


Lastly make the details on the body, ignore the right hand .

Step 4.


Your final sketch should look a lot better than mine because I'm horrible at sketching .

Step 5.


Now, start off with a light shade of grey on the ares you want to be darker .

Step 6.


Blend the area using a brush or a blending stamp .

Step 7.


Get a darker pencil and work on the areas on which I did as well .

Step 8.


Time for the details . Start off with the head. I suggest you zoom on it to see exactly what I did. Use a sharp 2B pencil, that's all you'll need for now .

Step 9.


Now make the left side of his robe. Use a 2B.

Step 10.


Now slightly shade the left arm, well his right arm but it's on the left side .

Step 11.


Shade the right side of the robe a bit more darker than the left side .

Step 12.


Now shade the lower half of his robe just like you did the upper half, remember to make the right side darker .

Step 13.


Shade the pants .

Step 14.


Finally, shade his left arm.

Step 15.


If you noticed I didn't even sketch his right hand, because there was no need to . The this he's holding is ice (duh) , which glows for some reason . You get that effect by making the background black and leaving the ice white in the center and darke
