How to Draw Scorpion from Mortal Kombat X

Step 1.


Begin by sketching the basic shape of the body as simple as possible. This will make it easier to get the pose right .

Step 2.


Now draw the outlines of the body , don't go into details yet . Be careful to make the hands the right size , one is bigger than the other due to perspective .

Step 3.


Lastly make the details on his face and all the straps on his suit .

Step 4.


Your sketch should look something like this .

Step 5.


Use a very light pencil and make a layer of grey on the areas which will be the darkest .

Step 6.


Use a paintbrush ( yes, a paintbrush) or a blending stamp to smudge the surface you previously worked on .

Step 7.


Now use a darker pencil , the darkest you have and use it on the same areas . Don't forget to smudge again .

Step 8.


I didn't previously shade the mask because it's really small surface which you can easily shade without layers . Careful to leave his eye blank .

Step 9.


Now shade the hood .

Step 10.


Shade half of his vest and his left arm .

Step 11.


Now shade the other half of the vest. Be sure to make the straps stand out by making the slightly lighter than the rest.

Step 12.


Now shade his arm down to his hand . Don't forget to smudge here .

Step 13.


Shade the belts on his arse .

Step 14.


Finally shade his right hand and pants .

Step 15.


Finally, use your darkest pencil and make the background completely black . You're done .
