How to Draw Rick from Rick and Morty

1

Begin with a head shape like you see here, then sketch in the facial guidelines.

2

Once that is done you have to use those guides to sketch out the shape of Rick's face structure. This should include the bumps for the mouth and ear.

3

You will now draw in the thick eyebrows like so, then move to step four.

4

Up next, make the shapes for the round eyes. When that is done you can draw the loose looking nose and bags under the eyes. Color in the pupils too.

5

Draw the mouth which is a crazy smile, then add the teeth and other ear.

6

Now you will draw the crazy spiked hair like so, then proceed to step seven.

7

Up next draw the shape of the neck, then sketch in the torso and jacket flaps. Add a collar to the neck line too.

8

Continuing on with drawing his jacket you will make the sleeve in a bending pose. Add the crinkle at the elbow or arm crease then move to step nine.

9

Sketch out the opposite shoulder, then some of the sleeve.

10

For the last step all you have to do is draw in the hand. As you can see the gesture is in a pose as if to say "I have an idea/plan". Erase the mistakes and guides.

11

That's it, you are all done. Now color in Rick to finish him off.

Description: I don't know how many of you are familiar with the Adult Swim series Rick and Morty, but since it has been getting a lot of raves I thought you might like a couple lessons on the main characters. I will start with how to draw Rick, step by step. Rick Sanchez(his full name)reminds me of Doctor Emmett Brown from Back to the Future. He has the same wild white hair and wears a doctors coat just like him too. He has these crazy ideas and is never too afraid to execute his plans. Drawing Rick will be fun and simple so get started and enjoy your drawing day.
