Then, we will start adding in extra details before we start to do the initial shading work. The large whites you see are the highlights which you must avoid shading on.

Next, we can start the shading! This can be a tedious procedure since shading can require lots of time and patience. Take your time and add only the first base layer of shades.Darkened the darkest spots in as well, like the inside of the mouth.

Description: Hey guys, I'm here tonight to guide you all on a tutorial that is indeed a realistic one. In this awesome tut, you'll be learning “how to draw real lips”, step by step. This tutorial is a bit short because there isn't much to show you but how I went through the process. The entire tutorial was done graphite and I'm incredibly happy how the results turned out. You'll be needing a piece of regular A4 paper (copy paper) or a medium textured sketch paper, a pack of sketching pencils, a kneaded eraser (or a polyester one), tissue and or cotton swabs, and a decent sharpener. I went through sharpening my 3B pencil numerous times because of the maximum usage of it. You'll also be needing a reference and tons of patience in order to achieve a decent realistic look for your lips. Anyways, I hope that ya'll will enjoy this tutorial to learn “how to sketch lips”, step by step. I had so much fun doing the walk through and getting into what I was doing.
