How to Draw Kitties

Step 1.


This is just a quick sketch of two very different looking kitty hair lengths. As you can see the cats at the top are short haired, and the cats at the bottom are long haired.

Step 2.


This is a three step condensed lesson/step on how to draw a cats eye. As you can see it's pretty simple and there is also two ways to draw in a pupil, round or slit.

Step 3.


Three types of cat ears you can draw as well. This is also a step by step example on how to draw three different types of a cats ear. Observe and learn from what you see.

Step 4.


Again, another step by step example to drawing cat paws. This is a very simple task, all you have to do is look, follow, and draw.

Step 5.


Now lets drawing some kitties shall we? Start with circle for the head, and a mushroom style body shape. Add one face guide like you see here.

Step 6.


Now begin sketching out the shape or structure of the kitty's head and cheeks like you see here. There is only three lines to draw.

Step 7.


Now you will fill in the spaces by drawing in the kitty's ears like so, and then add some detailing or definition to the ear to form a cartilage.

Step 8.


Slowly sketch out the shapes of the cat's big eyes like so, and then proceed on to drawing in the nose, lips, and mouth like so.

Step 9.


Finish drawing out the eyes like so, and the draw the eyeballs and color in some solid shaped pupils. Draw the tongue and teeth, and the sketch in the ear hair along the edges of the ears. You will also need to sketch in some definition for the cat's   

Step 10.


Draw the arms and paws like so, and then move to step eleven. Take your time so this cute kitty comes out awesome.

Step 11.


Draw the rest of the arms, and add some detailing to the paws by sketching in nails. Draw the belly, and then the back end and right thigh.

Step 12.


For the last drawing step all you have to do is draw out the other thigh, and then sketch in the right foot and nails or claws. Sketch out the curled tail, and erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one.

Step 13.


Tada! Here is your adorable kitty when you are all done. Now you can choose some tones to color in your kitty to your liking. Thanks for joining me for a fun tutorial on how to draw kitties.

Description: I think it's time that I submit something that you guys can really have fun with. Recently my cat had kittens, over the weekend to be exact. Although one of them died, it made me want to make a new lesson on some very entertaining critters that brings smiles in our homes, and warmth to our lives. I will be teaching you guys "how to draw kitties", step by step. The kitty that is the star of the lesson looks a lot like the one that passed away. It was gray with white legs and half of the face was gray, and the other half was like a combination of orange and tan. It was going to be a very pretty cat if it survived, but sadly it died suddenly after being only three days old. Anyways, the other kittens are doing fine and because there is a whole mess of them I wanted to draw a cat that is in a very playful and silly pose. As you know kittens are very curious when they are very young. They are also very random and have a knack for getting into trouble. The tutorial is pretty simple and I made sure to include some helpful tip steps. I think you guys will have great fun with learning "how to draw kitties", step by step. I shall return with more drawing fun so stay tuned in to see what else I have in store for ya'll. Adios amigos.
