Step 1.
The first thing you will do is draw out the shapes and guides to form the frame work for your robotic character. When you have finished, move to the second step.

Step 2.
Using the head guide you just made in step one, draw out the actual shape of the head and face. Sketch in the side knob, and make the proper lining to form the detailing or dimensional look.

Step 3.
You will now need to draw in the small rectangular shape on the front part of the robot's face, then sketch in the camera like eye, as well as all the seam lines that makes up the design of this character.

Step 4.
Attach the head to the body of the robot by drawing a few thin tubes. Attach the neck tubes to a disc shape like so, then draw in more of the design for GLaDOS from Portal.

Step 5.
Continue on by drawing the chest, then draw the brackets that are attached to the body frame. You will also need to add the block shape on the back part of the robot.

Step 6.
Work on getting more gadgets drawn out by making the hardware inside the body. As you know robots are made up of wires, buttons, and more wires. Keep working on the body until you have an image that looks like the one you see here.

Step 7.
Simply draw three cube shapes which are odd in size and shape. Add more wires that attach them all together, then draw in some detailing to each cube.

Step 9.
For the last step all you have to do is sketch out all the thick wires that are attached to GLaDOS as the robot character hangs. Of course there is a bracket of some sorts that makes the whole unit stable. Erase your mistakes then you are done.

Step 10.
Once all the mistakes and guides are cleaned up or erased, you will have a drawing that looks like the one you see here. Color in GLaDOS and that's it.

Description:
I've been getting a lot of requests for this character, and because of that, I've decided to create this cool and easy tutorial on "
how to draw GLaDOS
", step by step. This should be easy enough for even novices to draw. At first, when I was sketching this complex robot, I was getting frustrated because of the curvature of this design. There were so many details that I just had to leave simplified; otherwise, it would be too complex to draw. Be sure to have fresh clean paper by your side, as well as a good kneaded eraser so you can mold various widths to erase certain lines in restrained space. Take your time, try not to rush when you get too close to the end of the tutorial, and everything is starting to turn out good. Most of all, have fun. Too many people get frustrated with drawing tutorials when something just doesn't work. Drawing is suppose to be fun, so chill out! I hope you guys will enjoy this lesson, because I had a lot of fun creating it. Peace and love!
