How To Draw Garen From League of Legends

Step 1.


To draw Garen from League of Legends, we should first sketch in some basic guide line. Using a 2H or harder pencil, lightly sketch in a stick figure shape such as this one. These lines do not have to be perfect, since they will be erased later on. He   

Step 2.


Next, we should sketch in the basic human form. Doing this will ensure that the figure is proportionate when we apply clothing and armor later on. You do not need to include details such as facial feature or fingers. These lines are just guides as we   

Step 3.


Now that the guide lines have been sketched out, let's begin working on his face. Use the facial construction lines from the previous step to help place the eyes, nose, and mouth. Remember that eyes are approximately one eye width apart from one anot   

Step 4.


Garen has fairly short hair that is brushed back. Draw a few ruffled strands of hair on the left side of his head. Give him sideburns on either side of his face.

Step 5.


Draw a thick, heavy scarf around his neck that is attached by a circular medallion. The scarf should have a lot of folds and wrinkles in it. It should wrap around and underneath itself in multiple places.

Step 6.


One of Garen's trademark looks is his massive armored shoulder pads. Draw the tops rounded, but the front edges should be a series of straight edges. There should be a second, smaller pieces of armor that hangs from beneath the large pieces. The righ

Now let's work on his arms, but we will not worry about his hands until the next step. His left arm should be bent at a 90 degree angle, and the elbow should hang lower than his hand and shoulder as he is tightly clutching his sword. Most of the righ

His hands should each have a smaller piece of protective armor that covers the tops of the hands, similar in appearance to the armor on the forearms. Both hands should be clenched tightly, but the right hand will be partially hidden beneath the left    

Step 9.


Now is the best part - drawing this massive sword. The hilt of the sword should have numerous spikes and sharp edges, making it look menacing. It should also have a few gems on it. The blade of the sword should be at least twice as this near the tip    

Step 10.


Not much of his torso is visible, but draw the chest and lower stomach armor. The chest armor should be in at least two or more pieces to allow for easy mobility.

Step 11.


There should be three pieces of cloth hanging from Garens waste. Two pieces should be hanging at his side and should end just above the knees. They should wrap around the sides of the legs and disappear behind him. A much larger piece of clothing nee

Now draw the right leg, which should be sticking out towards us as he is taking a wide, attack stance. The cloth on his upper leg should be tucked into the top of his boot, and it should have a few loose wrinkles and folds in it. The boot should have

Now draw the left leg, which should be bent back behind the body for support. At this angle, the left foot should be a little higher up than the right foot. Don’t forget to draw winkles in the pants fabric and around the ankles of the boot.

Step 14.


Now that we are done penciling the image, we can ink it using a Micron marker or a brush and India ink. Carefully go over each line with patience and be sure not to accidentally ink any unneeded guide lines. Use a ruler to help draw the straight edge   

Step 15.


You can add more depth to the image by giving it shadow. Establish your light source, in this case it is coming from the sword, and black out the opposite side of the figure and each piece of armor, fabric, and fabric wrinkles.

Step 16.


If you need to make any corrections, use white ink or opaque white paint. You can also use it to add highlights if needed. And that is how you draw Garen from League of Legends. I hope you had fun!
