/ September 3, 2011
Step 1.
Start by making two lines, one which will be the longest should be drawn in with a ruler as it stretches across your paper in a horizontal manner. The next guide line just a small dash to make a plus sign in the middle.

Step 2.
Using only the left side of the guide, you will begin drawing out your cake slice. Start with the foundation first, and then draw in the top part of the triangle. The edges of the cake slice should be ruffled.

how to draw cakes
Description:
I guess the majority of the day today will consists of some pretty easy tutorials. I figured that since a lot of the lessons that have recently gone up, they are a little overwhelming for some of your novice artists out there. I made more than a few fun, and simple lessons that I think you will all love. Let us begin with learning "
how to draw cakes
", step by step. I know what you’re saying, “cakes”? Yes that’s right, I think you will all agree that drawing food in a cute, simple way is going to be a nice refreshing touch. In the past when I would upload chibi style food, everyone loved it. So today I will start once again, but I won’t go too far with the idea. To kick off food in the right pan, let us draw cakes and decorate them your own way. This is a fun and simple lesson to follow, and you should be able to knock it out in about five minutes or even less. That’s about it, enjoy this submission folks and let me know what you think by faving, commenting, and rating.
