Step 1.

Draw a single shape in the form of a large oblong egg. Draw in one face guide, and move along.

Step 2.

You will tackle this next step by drawing Barney's flat style hairdo, and then simply thicken the shape you drew in step one to draw out Barney's head. Draw in his big long nose before you leave this step.

Step 3.

Color in two eyes, and then draw in Barney's mouth, tongue and then make the lining for his chin, ear and cheek.

Step 4.

Alright guys, you will now draw Barney's body in the form of his clothes. The top part of the color should be drawn in a rugged manner. Make the cross mark for his buttons, and then draw the serrated bottom lining of his shirt or cloth.

Step 5.

Draw in Barney's arm, hand, and then draw the short stubby legs and feet. I wanted to make a lesson on Barney in action which is why the legs are in a walking pose. Draw in his toes, and ankles, and then begin cleaning up the drawing freeing it from

Description: This next tutorial today is going to be on how to draw Barney Rubble from the Flintstones. Now, everybody knows who Barney is, he is the best friend to Fred Flintstone. Barney always comes across as being the small runt out of the bunch. He has a corky personality and often displays non aggressive sides oppose to Fred where he has a bad temper and is very loud. The two characters together are almost like the hit show back when T.V was black and white “The Honeymooners” Barney is Ed Norton and Fred is Ralph Kramden. As the story goes Barney and Fred have been friends since childhood, the two of them worked as bellhops at a resort in Bedrock where they eventually met Wilma and Betty. Barney always came across as being much bubblier and filled with laughter. He is a very easy going character that stays optimistic in almost any situation. He never really liked lying to Betty to much, but it always seemed like he had to because of Fred and his crazy off the wall ideas, like sneaking out to go gambling, or telling Wilma that he and Barney where going to take a drive when they were really going out bowling. There are some episodes were Fred wins a butt load of money, but he can’t tell Wilma where he got it, so he gives the stash to Barney to hold. Well, Betty eventually finds the money and they both invite Fred and Wilma out to dinner to celebrate Barney’s winnings that Barney said he won. When Fred finds out what his simple minded pal just did he flips. No matter how mad the two got at each other, they always remained the best of friends. The only question I had about Barney is, what on earth did he do for a living? I don’t think Barney was ever employed, which is kind of funny because I know Betty didn’t work so how did they get money to eat and pay bills. Any way Barney always made me laugh no matter what he did. This tutorial will show you how easy it is to draw Barney Rubble step by step. The tutorials are easy to read and figure out. So sit back and garb your sketch book and pencil and have fun drawing this Flintstone character from Bedrock.
