How to Draw Baby Animal

Step 1.


Let us first begin by drawing a circle for baby Animal's head, then draw the bell shaped body. Once that is done you can sketch in the facial guidelines.

Step 2.


Next up, draw the small circle shaped nose, then sketch in the mustache.

Step 3.


Use the facial guidelines to draw the large shaped eyes, then draw the lines for the bottom eyelid skin that covers some of the eyeball.

Step 4.


You will now draw the eyeballs, color in the pupils, then draw the hairy bush that surrounds the top part of baby Animal's eyes.

Step 5.


Now you can draw the lips or mouth like so. Now because this is a puppet, the mouth should look blocky.

Step 6.


Here we will draw Animal's hands and his small rattle drum sticks that he is holding. I thought rattle drum sticks would be cool since Animal is a crazy drummer.

Step 7.


Sketch out the shape of the head which is also very hairy. As you know Animal is a hairy puppet.

Step 8.


Draw the arms and some of Animal's chest. Again it should be hairy so make sure the body is lined with small spiky hair points.

Step 9.


For the last drawing step all you have to do is draw the diaper, and his short stubby baby legs. Add the toe lines and erase the mistakes that you might have made.

Step 10.


That's it, baby Animal is all done. Now you can bring this infant to life by coloring him in using vibrant shades.

Description: So today I will be uploading some tuts on a few characters from Jim Henson's, The Muppets. The twist with these lessons is that they will all be in baby form. To start, here is "how to draw baby Animal" from the Muppets, step by step. Animal has always been one of my favorite characters from the series. I think it's because he is known or seen as a rebel. He is also a musician being a drummer. Animal acts exactly as his name suggests, an animal. I love this tutorial, and I hope you all do too.
