Step 1.

Start with a simple circle, and then add the facial guidelines.

Step 2.

Now draw out the back end of the spider's body like so, and move to step three.

Step 3.

Now draw out the limb lines for the legs, and then the fangs like so.

Step 4.

Begin sketching out the shape of the spiders head like so, and draw in two of the spiders eyes.

Step 5.

Now draw out the spiders other eyes, and then draw the shapes of the mandibles like so. Next, draw the fangs close together.

Step 6.

Now draw the shape of the spider's abdomen, and then begin sketching in the small hairs on the edge of the abdomen as well. You will then draw the horizontal lines on the mandibles, and then move to step seven.

Step 7.

Now you can sketch out the first two front legs like you see here, and then draw out the second upper thigh of the spider's leg too.

Step 8.

Now you can continue to draw out the other three legs like you see here, and be sure that there is a bot of shapely contouring to the legs as well. Spider legs are not perfectly smooth and straight.

Step 9.

Now all you have to do is draw out the back legs like so, and then move to step ten.

Step 10.

Now you have to finish off this spider's legs like so, and then draw in the fine little hairs on the legs, and then draw the horizontal lines on his legs too. Erase the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one, and then move to step eleven to

Step 11.

Now you are all done. Color in your spider, and you have yourself a neatly drawn critter that you can include in some of your favorite drawings.
