How to Draw a Triangle

Artist: Dawn / May 7, 2012

Step 1.

Use your ruler to make three even dots which will act as your starting guide to drawing the triangle.

Step 2.

When all the points or dots are drawn, the space between them (all three sides) should be equal in length.

Step 3.

Begin at the bottom and draw a line from one point to the other using a ruler. This line should be straight, and not exceed past the two points.

Step 4.

Next, draw each side of the triangle using the ruler once again. Remember not to draw past the points or your lines will not be equal on all three sides.

Step 5.

Here is your finished triangle. Now you can draw a perfect triangle from scratch.

Description: So for my next lesson here on Drago, I will be showing you "how to draw a triangle", step by step. Now, the dots I present within this tut are very important. Make sure, as you pinpoint the dots on your paper, to measure the diagonal dots equally to each side. We don't want one side of the triangle to look lopsided, do we? I've been using this dot system for a very long time, since my first art class in school. It will truly improve the way you draw lines in general, enhancing your overall skill as an artist. Anyways, I've gotta get moving along to my next fun tuts. Stay tuned and let me know if this was of any help, or if you have any suggestions! Thanks and peace out, mates!
