How to Draw a Lightsaber

Step 1.


Okay as you can see all the steps to this tutorial will be very simple to follow and draw. You will first make three vertical lines for the blade with the middle line having the three horizontal lines for the handle.

Step 2.


In this step you will round off the top of the lightsaber blade and then start drawing out the shape of the handle as seen here. See, so far it's pretty simple right?

Step 3.


Well this is your last drawing step and what you will do now is draw out the detailing and definition lines on the handle of the lightsaber as shown. You will also cap off the bottom or butt of the weapon as you can see here and make sure you detail    

Step 4.


Once you are finished this is what your sci-fi weapon should look like when you are done. All you have to do now is color in the lightsaber in the color of your choice. I hope you liked this tutorial on how to draw a lightsaber step by step.

Description: Well I know so far I did three tutorials and if you ask me they were all kick butt. Let’s take a step back and do a quick recap on what I submitted here on DragoArt.com today. So far I showed you how to draw a Cadillac Escalade, a Lotus Elise and a wicked cool skyscraper. In this next tutorial I will be showing you how to draw a lightsaber step by step. But this sci-fi weapon isn’t just any lightsaber, its Darth Vader’s lightsaber. Now for those of you that are Star Wars lovers you already know that the lightsaber is a weapon used by Jedi Knights and Jedi Masters including Master Yoda, Luke Skywalker, Obi-wan Kenobi, and many other Jedi that are a part of the council as well. As you know creator George Lucas was very meticulous when creating all the characters, machinery, ships and especially weapons when he was making the story of and movie. The lightsaber is a brightly colored energy blade about three feet in length with a variety of colors. The lightsaber has a sturdy hilt with no cross guards and a short beam of laser energy that can cut through almost anything that it strikes. For instance Luke has a blue saber, Yoda has a green saber, and Obi wan-Kenobi has a blue blade. All Jedi are supposed to build their own lightsaber, which consisted of lightsaber crystals. As the story goes, all young Jedi that are in training are supposed to build their own blades as a part of a training process. Anyways this is a very easy drawing tutorial that almost anyone can tackle. I will show you how to draw a lightsaber step by step with easy to follow instructions and simple to follow drawing steps. I will be back in a while with more drawing fun in a bit so stay tuned folks there is more on the way. In the mean time have fun with this Star Wars weapon called the lightsaber.
