Step 1.

You will need to draw out the shape of the head followed by the body guide.

Thicken and shape out the lining for the lower part of the face, add the thick strands of straw hair, then proceed on.

Color in the dots for the eyes, and add a friendly smile. You will draw out the hat, but be sure to give your hat lining some style.

Draw out the collar, then draw the spread out arms or sleeves, followed by the shape of the shirt.

Add some legs, then draw in the straw inside of the chest. Add the cuff lines like so, then erase your mistakes and guidelines.

Here is the line art when you are all done. Now just color in your scarecrow for kids.

Description: Before I get to one of my favorite lessons of the day, I wanted to upload this tutorial on "how to draw a Halloween scarecrow for kids", step by step. This is a simple sketch of the way I would picture a scarecrow for my sister to draw. Whenever I make lessons in the "for kids" style, I try and make objects or other stuff easy enough for my nine year old sister to tackle.
