Description: Wow, I am already on my fourth tutorial for the day and I am already feeling like I can go for hours longer. This next lesson is going to be geared toward the sports section again to match the football I submitted. So without further ado, let’s learn how to draw a football helmet step by step. Now as you know football helmets are used by individuals that participate in this rouged sport that involves slamming, hitting, pushing, pounding, running, kicking and anything else you can imagine that inflicts pain. There is an age old question to ”who was the master mind behind the creation of the playing sport of football”? It is said that a gentleman by the name of Walter Chauncey Camp is known to be the "Father of American Football". The reason being is because he is the one responsible for changing the way athletes played rugby football all together. What kinds of changes did he make you ask? Well the most important changes actually involved the introduction of the line of scrimmage and of down-and-distance rules. Traditionally American football is played on a field that is 360 feet long and 160 feet wide. Now each team scores points one out of four ways; a touchdown which is worth six points, they can also score an additional point after a touchdown with a PAT or point-after touchdown play, then there is a field goal which is worth three points, and then a safety and that is worth two points. Let’s get back to talking about the football helmet shall we? The football helmet is a protective device that is used to collect the blows to the player’s heads to protect them from serious injury. They are made from hard plastic that is molded for the outside shell and in the inside it has thick padding. It also has a face mask made of several metal bars, and a chinstrap used to secure the helmet on the head. Back in the day players used straps and earpieces to protect their ears. Now, even though a football player wears a protective helmet that doesn’t take him out of harm’s way. There is still the risk that they will sustain a head injury like a concussion or something even worse. No matter how you look at it the football helmet serves a very important purpose to these rough and rugged players. This tutorial will show you how to draw a football helmet step by step. The lesson is positioned in three different views to give you a true learning experience. And if you like this lesson, then you will also enjoy learning How to Draw a Football
