Draw a circle then the jaw line under it. Make the guidelines for the eyebrows , eyes and mouth. Roughly sketch the neck and shoulders .

Now sketch the hair and the outline of the face .

Finally sketch the details on his face .

Now your sketch should look like this, minus the beard .

Begin with the eyes. Make a light shadow around them

Darken the area and extend it while doing so. Also draw the iris.

Thicken the eyebrows .

Shade the nose.

Now shade the bottom half of his face .

Shade the forehead and don't forget the wrinkles on it.

Use a shark pencil and thicken the mustache and draw the beard .

Draw the dark parts of the hair.

Using a lighter pencil draw the rest of the hair .

Draw the shirt black and make a smudgy background if you wish .

He is best known for his roles in High Fidelity, Shallow Hal, School of Rock, King Kong, Nacho Libre, Tropic Thunder, The Holiday, Bernie and the Kung Fu Panda films. Black is considered a member of the so-called Frat Pack, a loose grouping of comic actors who have appeared together from an early age in various Hollywood films. He has been nominated for two Golden Globe Awards. He is the lead vocalist of the comedic rock group Tenacious D, which he formed in 1994 with friend Kyle Gass.
