Nirvana Drawing Tutorial

Begin the first step by drawing three guide shapes for the heads of the band members from Nirvana. Sketch in the facial guidelines and move to step two.

Step two involves sketching out the shapes of all three face structures. As you can see Cobain has a very prominent jaw structure, very chiseled. Once that is done you can begin drawing their hairstyles or some of them at least.

Using the facial guidelines draw in the eyebrows and then color them in. Once that is done sketch out Cobain's eyes, then all of their noses and mouths.

For Dave and Krist you will need to draw in their eyes. Once that is done sketch in the rest of the noses and then finish off the mouths. Add an ear to Dave's left side and then sketch in Kurt's facial hair.

End this step by finishing all their hairstyles. Dave has the longest style and Kurt has second longest. Once you are happy with your drawing you can start erasing the mistakes and guides.

Here is the line art when you are all done. Now you can just color in the drawing and show off the art or add it to your collection of band member sketches.

Description: Enough with the football logos and on with the nitty gritty lessons. Today, I will be uploading some cool stuff and I'm going to start with this one on how to draw Nirvana, but instead of the band's logo, it's going to be the band members instead. I love, love, love Nirvana and to me they changed music and set the stage for grunge music as we know it today. The band members consist of Dave Grohl, Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic. The band was actually started and formed by Kurt and Krist, Dave Grohl joined in 1990 when Buzz Osborne introduced Grohl to Kurt. Nirvava was formed in 1987 and even though Cobain is no longer with us, his legacy lives on as his music ad lyrics continue to reach millions of fans. This Nirvana drawing tutorial goes out to all you fans out there that love the band to this day.
