For this first step ,Make a seperate layer and draw guidelines on it , Just to make it easier to draw and to locate where everything will be.

Make a layer for the lineart above the guidelines layer.And linart your drawing.

This is how the lineart looked like ( in my drawing)

After that make a layer for the coloring UNDER the Lineart layer. To color use a palette constituted of light brown,orange,Then blossom pink.

This is the coloring part

Continue the coloring .It is not necessary to make hair highlights ...

Here is the final drawing.For the background, Pastels like blue and yellow usually look nice ...
