Step 1.

Make a circle for the head, and then draw out the shapes of the torso, and hip area. You will connect the head with a neck line, and then draw out all the limb lines as well.

Step 2.

Begin sketching out Yoko's puffy hairstyle starting with the flowing bangs. When that is done sketch out the shape of her face, and move along to step three.

Step 3.

Finish sketching out the face, and then draw in her big eyes, nose and mouth. When that is done you can draw in some more of her hair but this time it's only two chunks that rests on her shoulders. Sketch in the pretty clip in her hair as well.

Step 4.

Now you will draw out the entire outlined shape of her extremely long ponytail that is flowing to the left. When that is done draw in her neck and the brace around it.

Step 5.

Now you can start working on getting her upper body drawn out and as you can see you will start by drawing in her shoulders, arms, and then the chest and waist. She has a very shapely body for a fourteen year old so be sure to draw in the contours of

Step 6.

Draw in the flaming detailing on her bikini top, and then start sketching out the hips, thighs, and her utility belt. As you can see she is wearing a very skimpy bottom so be sure not to forget to draw her short short in too. Oh yeah, add detailing t

Step 7.

Sketch out both hands which are also gloved, and then make the wrist bands as well. Continue to draw out the legs and then add the dimples on her knees. Draw the top part of her boots and then detail and define the thigh highs.

Step 8.

Wow, look at that you are all done. All you have to do now is sketch in her boots which are a little baggy on her legs. Detail them with the flaming design as well as some folding creases. Erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one.

Step 9.

Here is what she looks like all drawn in. Now you can add some color and then you have just finished drawing Yoko from Gurren Lagann. Great work guys!

Description: I made so many lessons on all kinds of anime and manga characters yesterday that I’m getting so tired of drawing them out. Anyways, this tutorial is going to be based on another female figure from an anime/manga series called “Gurren Lagann”. She is a sweet, but sassy looking gal with tons of personality and full of skill. You are going to have the pleasure of learning "how to draw Yoko Littner", step by step. Of course she is only referred to as Yoko, but her last name is Littner. I don’t know if the last name has anything to do with the fact that she comes from a place called Littner, or if it is in fact her actual last name. Anyways most of the characters of Gurren Lagann, she too is packing a weapon with a whole lot of punch. Even though she uses many types of guns, her gun of choice is long range riffle that was built to look like a Barrett M82. If you’re wondering whether or not the Barrett M82 is a real deal piece of machinery, the answer is yes it is. It shoots a .50 caliber bullet and it is known as a light fifty. Anyways Yoko is one of the female protagonists of the series and her look is very distinct. Her form fitting clothes and the amount of skin she exposes makes her one of the more popular characters of Gurren Lagann. Being only fourteen makes me think that she has the mid set of a much older female because I know I would never have dressed like that at that age. But of course you have to keep in mind that Japanese anime and manga is a whole other style then what we are used to here in the states. Anyways, she shouldn’t be that complex to draw all you have to do is follow the steps at a slow pace. She has a lot of detailing and contouring lines that might give you a challenge as you try and draw Yoko, but other than that you should be fine. I guess that’s it guys, enjoy this tutorial and come back again real soon for more drawing fun.
