Step 1.
As with all lessons on figures, draw a circle for the head, and then draw in the guidelines for the face, and body. This includes the shoulders, arms, torso and legs.

Sketch out the shape of the face structure, and then draw in her bangs which should be a bit wavy.

Step 3.
Draw in the big shapes of her eyes and take note that the top lid lines are bold and dark. Draw the eyeballs, and then the nose, mouth, and ears.

Step 4.
Nia has very pretty long wavy hair. Start sketching out her wavy locks by starting at the top. Draw in the bow that is to the right of her head, and then draw in the length of her hair starting with the left side first.

Step 5.
Finish drawing out the bow, and the tag like part of the bow as well. Draw in the rest of her hair and this time it should have more curls.

Step 6.
Sketch out the shape of her neck, and then draw in the high shirt collar. When that is done we are going to tackle the torso starting with the shoulders, arms, and then the rest of her petite top.

Step 7.
Add the pretty lace like detailing to the collar, and then draw out the tie like tongue in the center of her top. The collar has the lace holes because that is where the jewels will be colored in. Add some stitching design lines along the sides of he
r torso, and on the right upper arm.

Step 8.
Draw in the tail of her coat or shirt, and then draw in the bottom of her shirt as well as the waist of the skirt. Add that ruffled end to her skirt and move along to step nine which brings you closer to the end.

Step 9.
For the last step, draw in her hands, draw the pretty jewel design on her belt, add the pleats to her skirt, and then draw in the legs and jewels on the cuffs of her sleeves. Erase the lines and shapes drawn from step one and then begin cleaning up t
he drawing.

Step 10.
Here is how pretty Nia looks when you are all done. Now you can start adding all the tones you want when you begin coloring in this new character. You now have all four lessons on the main figures from Gurren Lagann.

Description:
So after submitting the character Yoko from Gurren Lagann, someone asked if I could also make a lesson on "
how to draw Nia Teppelin
", step by step. She is one of the other main figures of the series and even though she is considered to be a mysterious girl, she is much more reserved and confident than most. Nia is referred to as mysterious because she was found by Simon in a dump site. She has no recollection of ever coming in contact with people before except for her father. As you can tell by her appearance, Nia is a very innocent girl that has got the personality and nature of a perfect upbringing. I mean seriously, she is not only very sweet looking, has the patience of an angel, she is wicked polite, and she even has this proper presence about her. There is a total of four main characters that are all considered to be the protagonists of the series, and my goal is to get them all drawn and turned into lessons. I obviously know now that there are fans of this anime, and now you guys can finally tackle tutorials on drawing Gurren Lagann characters like Nia Teppelin. Have fun everyone and be sure to try and stick around for more drawing fun. Peace!
