How to Draw Voltron

You will start the first step by drawing a large, wide plus sign. These two guidelines will be used as an aid so you can draw in your letters.

You will begin by drawing the first letter which is a V. The V is in a check mark style and it is also very bold and thick. Color in the V and then move to step three.

The next thing you will do is draw three more letters. As you can see they will be a whole lot smaller then the V you just drew out. Make a diamond shaped O, then draw a very angled L. Color them both in like so, and move to the next drawing step.

Next, you will now draw out the T. The T is going to be in the shape or form of a sword. Start at the top by drawing the handle, then add the hand guard as well as the blade.

You will now draw out the R and O. Notice that the letters are pretty uniform in design all having sharp angles and points.

Lastly draw the N like so, then then color it in. You should end up with the spelling of Voltron. Clean up any mistakes you may have made.

When your letters are all colored in you should have something like the image you see here. Of course you can tweak it to your own standards, this is just a general idea on drawing Voltron.

Description: I recently found out that there is a new cartoon series that airs on Nicktoons every Wednesday called “Voltron”. I don’t know too much about the series so I asked some of my peeps if they had any information that I could use. I gathered a bunch of mixed up info which is why this description is not going to be as accurate as I would like. This tutorial will show you "how to draw Voltron", step by step just by using the letters instead of the actual character from the series. There is a bunch of different figures and from what I understand a majority of them are robots. There is the Lion Voltron Force, Vehicle Voltron Force, Mecha force and a series of human characters, villains and secondary figures that make up the series. Voltron is actually an early eighties Television series that used to air from September 1984 to November 1985. Back then it was called ‘Voltron: Defender of the Universe’. I think it was supposed to compete with Transformers, there was a lot of robot based cartoons on TV back then. Anyways, if you guys like this lesson maybe I will do a tutorial on one of the robots but I need your help to choose which one I should do. For now, enjoy drawing Voltron in the form of letters, and I will await your replies of some awesome suggestions on popular robot characters. Peace out people and enjoy!
