How to Draw Vanellope, Wreck It Ralph

Step 1.


Begin with a simple circle for the base of her head, then sketch in the facial guidelines.

Step 2.


Using the shape you made in step one, begin sketching out the outline of Vanellope's face. Draw in the hair line which should also include some bangs. Draw the neck, and some of her collar from her sweater.

Step 3.


Using the facial guidelines begin drawing out her eyes as well as her eyebrows. Color in the eyebrows and then draw her nose, and mouth.

Step 4.


Finish drawing out her eyes, then color in the pupils. Add some lashes then draw out the bottom lip as well as her tongue.

Step 5.


Now that her face is finally done, we can get started with drawing in her hair. Do this by drawing out the parted bangs that hang down the sides of her face, then draw in one of her ears. Add some detailing to the middle of her head where the part is   

Step 6.


Vanellope wears her hair in a ponytail like a lot of small children do. You will need to draw a nice combed back head of hair like so, and be sure to include those individual strands.

Step 7.


You will now draw in the scrunchy that she holds her up with, then add some detailing to the scrunchy as well.

Step 8.


Next, draw in her ponytail which sits high on her head, then add some detailing to her hair too.

Step 9.


You are almost done here folks so hold on to your butts. We will finish her body by drawing the shoulders, arms, and torso, then sketch in the collar and hood.

Step 10.


Add detailing to her sweater like so, and be sure to add the drawstrings for her hood. Erase the mistakes then you're done.

Step 11.


Here is Vanellope when you are done. Now you can color her in to really finish her off.

Description: So you know that lesson I submitted a while ago on the animated character from the upcoming movie 'Wreck it Ralph'? Well I have yet another lesson that will be on one of the main figures from the film. Here is "how to draw Vanellope", step by step. Her full name is Vanellope von Schweetz, and she is a spunky little girl that has the soul of a grown race car driver or cart racer in Sugar Rush. Her whole goal in life is to become a race driver, and because of this she has experienced a whole lot of ridiculing, put downs, let downs, and what have you. Now because she has been through a lot, she has a hard exterior but underneath it all she is just a fun loving child that is full of curiosity and drive. She sort of reminds me of my little sister because her personality is similar. Vanellope has black colored hair, and she wears a green jumpsuit with a red ribbon in her hair. The lesson should be easy enough, and I actually don't expect a whole lot of people to know about Wreck it Ralph. But when the film comes out and you're looking for a drawing tutorial on one of your favorite characters, hopefully I will have them all ready for you.
