Make a circle for Finn's head but don't connect the ends like you see here.

Next, color in his eyes, then draw his peanut shaped mouth along with the teeth and tongue. Like I said, the lining and shapes don't connect.

Lastly, draw out the hood which is also not connected all around. If you made mistakes or if you don't like how your drawing came out, you can fix what you don't like and move on.

Here is the simple looking line art for Finn in tribal form. I know he doesn't look too tribal, but at least he was easy to draw.
