Description: Almost everybody I know loves cookies and all kinds of food that is made from either a cake batter, or muffin mix. There is one little guy that has been around for ages it seems and every time he is on TV you know it’s got to be something good that is being advertised. I wanted to do a lesson on one of my childhood television commercial characters. He is white, soft and full of warm fluffy goodness. I am gong to show you “how to draw the Pillsbury Doughboy step by step”. Although we all know and call him “The Pillsbury Doughboy”, his real name is “Poppin’ Fresh”. He is the mascot used by the Pillsbury Company and he is all warm goodness. One of the more popular things that he is used to advertise more than any other desert treat is, the famous home style buttermilk biscuits, and crescent rolls. For me personally I like the layered flaky dinner biscuits. His character is supposed to be that of a ball of dough that is shaped like a gingerbread man. He has arms, hands, and legs. He also wears a chefs hat with the Pillsbury company logo in the middle of the hat. He is also wearing a chef’s handkerchief and or scarf too. You may often associate the TV commercial character with cookies, cakes, and different breads when see. After introducing a product he is often poked in his belly by a female finger and he lets out a cute little tickle laugh saying “hmm-hmm”. The Pillsbury Company started using Poppin Fresh in the mid sixties and he is still going strong today. I know that you guys will like this lesson on “how to draw the Pillsbury Doughboy step by step”. Well that’s it for me guys. I will be back later with more drawing fun so stay tuned in for other lessons coming your way. Peace out and happy drawing.
