Here I used my blending stump to "draw" in more lines, add more shading to his hair eyebrows, side of face, neck and shirt. I needed to whiten areas like some hair strands and catch lights in his eyes and did this with a kneaded eraser and white past

I first applied black pastel to the darkest areas (between strands) in his hair. I shaded his face more with dark pastel (it lightened as I blended). I took charge and grabbed my 9B Graphite pencil and added more definition the his hair, beard scruff
