Description: Well I am back with some more tutorials today and I thought that I would show you how to draw Pinocchio. As you know Pinocchio is about a young wooden boy that comes to life because of a wish that Mr. Geppetto placed one starry night. Mr. Geppetto is an older man that works as a woodworker. He makes wooden clocks, puppets, and anything else that can be made form wood. I love Pinocchio because he is so sweet, innocent, and funny. He is paired up with his conscience and friend Jiminy Cricket. Pinocchio absolutely loves his father Geppetto and he only wants to make him proud. This character that I will be showing you how to draw is from the animation minds at Disney. They made the little wooden boy so cute and innocent looking, they did a real good job. Did you know that the animated movie Pinocchio was their second released American animated feature film after Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs? Anyways, what young Pinocchio must do is prove to the blue fairy that he is able to be brave, truthful, and unselfish in order to become a real boy. Even though he tries very hard to do as he is told, his innocence gets him in trouble even when he doesn't know that he is doing wrong. He first gets steered down the wrong path when he is approached by a sly fox named J. Worthington or Honest John. He parades around the streets and alleys trying to find his next dollar and he see's a butt load of cash with Pinocchio. He cons Pinoc into following him to see a fella named Stromboli who runs a mobile stage show with puppeteers that move around the wooden stars. Pinocchio is the main attraction because he is a stringless puppet that could make the overweight Italian puppet maker some serious dollars. He eventually gets saved by Jiminy when the blue fairy comes and lets him out of the cage. The two run back to Geppetto's house to let him know that he is home but unfortunately he is not there. You see, Geppetto got so worried about his little boy that he went to go look for him. By the time he found his father he was in the stomach of a Whale named Monstro. He saves his father and finally he proves to the blue fairy that he is brave, truthful and unselfish. The young wooden boy turns into a real boy and then the Family jumps around happily. I sketched out Pinocchio first on paper and then scanned him in. You will now learn how to draw Pinocchio step by step with detailed instructions and steps. I will be back later with more drawing fun in a bit so hang in there folks.
