Make the head and torso shapes and guides, then draw in the facial guidelines.

Instead of drawing the face shape, you will sketch out her hair first which is thick and sort of messy.

Define the shape of the face and proceed to step four.

Draw in the one exposed eye. It should be drawn in a surprised expressive look with thick upper lid. Draw in the metal line guides on her face as well as the nose and mouth.

Complete the hairstyle which will also form the shape of her head.

You will then draw the shirt collar and then draw the layered tie.

Lastly, draw the shoulders and torso. She is wearing a jacket so you will draw in the buttons for the coat and the definition to the clothing. Erase your mistakes and guides.

This character that you will be working on next was requested by someone so I did it. Here is how to draw Mei Misaki, step by step. She is a character from the manga 'Another'. I think she is such a cool looking figure. Mei is also the main female protagonist which means you are getting a lesson on a main character. Anyways, I never heard of the novel, but I'm sure there are folks out there who have. Enjoy drawing Mei.
