How to Draw Jake
1
Jake the dog is a very round character. To start, draw a circle for his head and then add the facial guidelines. You will then draw another circle shape for his body and then draw yet another half circle for the chest. Lastly, draw the four leg lines
2
You will now draw the actual shape of Jake's head and then draw the flops for his ears. You will now draw the big bulging round eyes, his loose hanging jowls, and then a small round nose and mouth shape.
3
You are already almost done with this lesson. All you have to do now is draw the shape of Jake's chest, and then start drawing out his old skinny legs and feet. Once that is done, move to the next step.
4
Finish drawing Jake by sketching out the shape of his back body, hind legs, and short stubby tail. Erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one so you can prepare your drawing for color.

Description: Here is my second installment of the main character from the show "Adventure Time with Finn and Jake". I literally just uploaded the lesson on his traveling partner Finn. Jake is a really old dog that has magical powers. How he got these magical powers is still a mystery to me because I have not yet watched the series because it hasn't been released yet, nor is it going to be released anytime soon. Adventure Time with Finn and Jake is not going to air on Cartoon Network for another five months. The show was created by a man named “Pendleton Ward” and originally started out as an animated short named just “Adventure Time”. In 2008 the series was picked up by Cartoon Network because of it's famed success. Jake and Finn go on these random odd adventures that lead them into strange situations, and meeting strange people and or beings. I love the character make up of Jake because he really does look like an older dog. Whether or not a dog can live to be twenty eight years old is another story, as well as a dog having magical powers. In all reality, it is usually the strange and different animated shows that do really well with kids, young teens, and even adults. Look at the show Chowder, that is an absolutely weird show that made a hit, big time. People like strange and unusual things which is why all the hot cartoons are strange, and unusual. I think you guys will like learning "how to draw Jake, step by step" even though you probably have no idea who he is. I will be back later with more drawing fun so stay tuned in to see what pops up next. Peace out people, and happy Christmas Eve!
