How to Draw Fish

Step 1.


Let's draw some fish shall we? Start with three circle shapes. Be sure to draw the circles in different sizes to add variety to the fish. Next draw in the facial guidelines as you see here. You will lastly draw a simple outline of their bodies as you   

Step 2.


Next, using the facial guidelines you drew in step one, draw the shapes of their eyes, and then color in their pupils. You will then draw their fish lips and add some definition to these fish faces like eyebrows, and indentation around their faces as   

Step 3.


You are already almost done with this tutorial "how to draw fish". You will start step three by sketching out their dorsal fins (which is the fins on the tops of their bodies) and the caudal fins on the two fish above. The caudal fin is also known as   

Step 4.


This is your last step and all you have to do is sketch out the rest of the fish's fins and then draw in the belly of their bodies. Erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one to clean up your sketch of any unwanted guidelines.

Step 5.


In the end, you will end up with three very cute fish that you just learned how to draw. Color them in any shade you like, and wha-la, you're done. Hope you guys had a blast with this lesson on "how to draw fish step by step".

Description: Well here you have it, finally a tutorial on "how to draw fish step by step”. I looked through my animals section and found that there is absolutely no lessons on drawing simple fish. I mean I have some cartoon looking fish, but no basic fish. I decided to draw three fish and each one is cute and happy looking, (except for the bloat that is to the lower right hand side), that fish actually looks a little overstuffed. How many of you out there love fish tanks? I for one am a big fan of fish and fish tanks. My grandmother has a seventy five gallon tank that houses all salt water fish. It is absolutely beautiful. You would really think that you’re looking in the ocean when you gaze in her fish tank. There is so many different varieties of fish out there in the world. Some of the fish can be housed domestically, some can be hunted and eaten, and then some are just made to be left in the wild to be admired and awed. Drawing fish is one of the first animals that kids learn how to draw because they are so incredibly easy to create. Kids love learning how to draw tropical fish, real looking fish, and even their pet fish. For me drawing sea animals is always fun because I love the sea. This lesson will teach you "how to draw fish step by step”. You can color the little guys in any shade you like, and you can even tweak them a bit too to customize their looks to your liking. This should be a fun drawing activity for anyone to tackle, which is why it will remain in the novice section under "difficulty". I shall return once again my fellow artists, in the mean time have fun drawing fish.
