We will start with a simple circle for the head guide for your new anime character. When that is done sketch in the facial guidelines.

2

Next, using the shape that you just made as your guide, begin sketching out the lower portion of Cosette's face, then draw in her thick bangs like you see here. Notice how her bang line has a nice wave.

3

In this lesson Cosette has a very surprised or shocked expression on her face. Draw in the eyes, color in the pupils, then draw the eyebrows, ears, nose and mouth.

4

Work on getting her hair drawn in by capping off the top of her head. Cosette's hair is long, straight and blonde.

5

Begin sketching out the shape of her skinny neck, then draw the shoulders, sleeves, and the definition to her torso and top. There is also the hint of her right arm as well.

6

Lastly draw in her ruffled collar, then add the strand lines to her long locks. You are basically done with the drawing, all you need to do is erase the mistakes.

7

Here is how Cosette looks when you are all done. Now you can color her in to bring her to life. I hope you enjoyed drawing Cosette today on Dragoart.com.

Description: Aloha everyone and welcome back to another fun filled lesson that will take you back to the nineteenth century. I'm sure a lot of you have heard of a novel called 'Les Miserables'. The novel was originally written in 1862, and since then there has been so many adaptations based on the very popular book written by Victor Hugo. With that said, an anime was released in 2007 based on novel by Nippon Animation. In the anime the story follows Cosette and her mother Fantine as they are on a constant journey to find a home. This tutorial is actually on "how to draw Cosette", step by step. She is the main character of the series, and as you can see she is very sweet and innocent looking. I liked turning Cosette into a tutorial even though I'm not really familiar with the series. She has a kind, friendly look that was pleasing to draw. If you like Les Miserables, you should also enjoy this lesson on drawing Cosette. I shall return with more fun so stay tuned in folks. Adios mi amigos!
