How to Draw Ants

Firstly before you want to draw an ant, maybe it would be a helpful extra, if you know, what's about his anatomy. The first four page will be about the ant anatomy for the beginning.

Here you can see his head anatomy, you can see the details. Well, it's not important if you draw them as little ones on your picture, but if you want to draw them in bigger size, it could be helpful.

Firstly, here some tip for the ant head drawing. Some of them cute, some of them really scary in bigger size. Now that your choice which one, what you would like to draw.

As ants are live in colony they have some different in their bodies, they aren't seems like each other. It's depend from their caste in the colony.

And now, for the last extra page, here their home, the Ant Hill. You can see well on the picture where are the parts of the hill. It's maybe not important, but if you want to draw from their life, it could be really helpful too.

Let's start the "How to draw Ant" part! Now, start to draw the base lines. This is helpful, that you can draw the base form of the body.

For the first part, draw the base form of his head!

They have little eyes on their head, draw the base form of them.

As the next step, draw his little "mouth" on the picture and finish with some little line his head too.

Draw the base form of the antennas.

Finish with little lines and details the antennas, this is the last step in the ant's head drawing.

The next bigger step is, draw the base form of the "thorax".

With some line you can draw some details for the thorax part, and this will be the finishing piece in this part of the drawing.

And now, draw the next bigger part, the "abdomen" base form.

With some little or bigger details, you can finish the adbomen part of his body.

And now, here we are, the legs. It's seems like difficult to draw, but you don't need to draw them well, if you don't want to be in perfect ant anatomy :)

And now for the finishing of the legs part, draw the lines, what are separate the leg's parts from eachother. It's just some little details, and you don't need to draw, if you want to draw a more simple ant.

For the last part of the drawing -it's not important, just for the interest- here some details for the environment, now your ant can enjoy his little life! :)
