How to Draw an Axe

For the first step draw the actual axe head then add the guideline for the handle.

Define the shape of the axe head like so.

Sketch in the definition line at the base of the axe blade like so.

Next, draw the wooden handle, then proceed to step five.

The axe is all set. The only thing you need to draw here is the shape of the stump.

Add detailing to the stump like so, then erase the mistakes if you made any along with the guides.

Here is the line art. Just color in the drawing and show off what you have done.

Description: I know that this may seem like a useless lesson for a lot of you, but the inspiration for this tutorial came from when I watched my brother chop wood that was laying around the yard as we applied ourselves to Spring time clean up. The axe in this lesson isn't as big as the one my brother was using, but it will do. So, having said all that I did, here is "how to draw an axe", step by step.
