How to Draw a Turtle For Beginners

Start with the head shape for your turtle. There is no guide so be sure to draw it accurately.

In this second step we will draw the turtles eye shapes, then draw the snout which forms the mouth as well. Add some scales and a swirl on the chin.

Okay folks, draw the turtle shell and then draw a small cone shaped tail.

Add the scales on the turtle shell like so and around the rim of the shell.

Let's finish off the drawing by adding the turtle's legs and toes. Add the swirl on the back of the front leg for detail, then erase your mistakes.

Here is the line art. Now you can color in your turtle drawing and show off your talents to folks you know.
