How to Draw a Convertible

Step 1.

To start, we need to draw out or make the outline of the convertible you will be drawing. This is going to be a solid rock like shape like you see here, with straight bottom lines for the frame of the car.

Step 2.

These are pinpoints to where the focal points of the car will be drawn. Make sure you draw these points accurately so you'll draw an even better looking Convertible that is well proportioned and symmetrical.

Step 3.

Begin drawing out the bottom framing of the car which is the bottom of the front bumper, the front right fender, the wheel wells, and the space between the wheels and the door. When you are done you should have of a convertible drawn out without the

Step 5.

You're doing great guys, here you will begin drawing out the lining and the shapes for the fog lights, and the sports decal at the bottom of the front fender below the grill. When that is done sketch in the hood lining to make a nice neat display of

Step 6.

You are now half way done with this tutorial on how to draw a convertible. What you need to do now is draw out the beginning lining to form the car door, door handle, and then some of the back bumper. When that is done begin sketching out the back se

Now it's time draw the wheels like so, and then move to the next step.

Step 8.

Now it's time to draw out the car rims and this is where you are going to want to take your time to make sure that the spokes come out nice and even. Did I mention this is also your last drawing step? Erase the guidelines if they are visible and then

Step 9.

Here is what your drawing looks like when you are all done. Now you can choose a color to shade in your vehicle. I hope you liked learning how to draw a convertible.

Description: Guess what guys, there is a season coming up in like five months that is going to be perfect for driving in the hot weather with the top down. Yesterday I was contemplating what to do for lessons and then it hit me, how about I show you guys how to draw a convertible, step by step. My goal is to one day buy one of these mean machines because I want to drive to San Diego or Seattle one day and feel the breeze hitting my face as I drive down the highway with my top down, wind blowing in my hair, and wearing a pair of black shades with a big smile on my face as I listen to my favorite songs on the radio. I’m not sure what type of convertible I want, but I’m thinking maybe a Mustang convertible because not only are they fuel efficient, they are also fast, and easy to maintain. The colors for these vehicles come in many shades, and the great thing is you can customize the color you want. For instance, say I want a black Mustang, but I also want that glitter sheen to it, I can have the car repainted so they can add what I want. I think I’ll buy a red colored convertible. Some other popular makes of topless cars are corvettes, BMWs, Mercedes, and even some of the older reconditioned cars that you see vintage car collectors drive. Anyways, I think you will enjoy learning how to draw a convertible car, step by step because it’s going to be as easy as 1, 2, and 3. Color in the car any shade you like, and then maybe hang your drawing on the wall to look at future goals. I will be back soon with more drawing fun so stay tuned in to see what I’ll upload next. Peace people!
