How to Draw a Bug

Step 1.


Here is a quick reference on the different types of bug patterns that one may see when sketching out a b design for a bug. Here is where you will check out the different patterns you see here to choose which style you would like to place on your newl   

Step 2.


Here is a sketch of the different types of head styles that you can choose from when sketching out the bug. As you can see the faces to these insects vary, which makes drawing a bug even more fun.

Step 3.


Here I point out how each legs should be drawn. Notice the shapes of each section when sketching out the bug's legs, and also notice how there is different curves and dips to the insects legs.

Step 4.


This is a close up on the leg. It show how to draw the hairs on the insects legs. Notice how the tiny hairs look fine, but coarse at the same time. Many different insects have hairs on their legs and even bodies.

Step 5.


You will start this first step by drawing out a shape that looks very much like an eyeball. When this is done draw one small circle for the head.

Step 6.


Now you will sketch out the actual shape of the bugs body like you see here, and then sketch out the type of head design you want for your insect like you seen in the previous step.

Step 7.


Now that you have the basic design sketched out for the bug, you will finish drawing out the head design like you see here. Once that is done, be sure to draw in the antenna, and the second portion of the bug's upper body. This can easily be done by

The last drawing step is simple because all you have to do is finish drawing out the legs like you see here. Most insects have legs that are broken up in either three or four parts. This bug has legs that contains three sections. When the legs are al

Now that you are all done, you should have a drawing that looks like the one you see here. Color it in, and choose a bug pattern to add if you would like to do so. Great work guys on how to draw a bug.

Description: I thought I would start the day with something simple. I know I have been submitting some pretty random stuff, and to tell you the truth, it’s going to get even more random because I’m about to show you "how to draw a bug", step by step. Drawing insects is probably one of the funnest and easiest things to do. I wanted make a simple drawing of a bug so that everyone would be able to tackle, and complete the lesson with ease. I’m not going to ramble on about nothing in this tutorial description, because I feel that I have said so much already about bugs, insects, and all sorts of bug related facts with my past submissions. You will be brought to a page filled with tutorials on many different bugs in existence. I guess that is all I have to say for now.
