Draw his basic figure with light lines. A long vertical line, a horizontal line for his shoulders and two lines for his legs. I also drew a guideline for where his cape and sword will be, along with some guidelines for his arms. As always don't rush through this step, and use a reference picture if you need to so you can tell what your'e drawing.
Step 2.
Start drawing the shape of his face and helmet. Draw the shape of his arm and hand around the guidelines. Draw the shapes you see in the picture for his stomach area.
Step 3.
Finish drawing the outline of his cape. Also add form to his leg along with the outline of his armor. Start drawing the shape of his sword. Keep adding details to the parts you have already drawn along his arms and upper body.
Step 4.
I got a little carried away when I was making this tutorial and I started shading before I was supposed to. Ignore that for now. Instead just concentrate on his other leg and drawing the details on it. I also added more details on his upper body including the little feather things on his shoulders. I also added the plume on his helmet.
Step 5.
Add in some guidelines for the shape of his cape. Finish the outline of his sword. Here you can start shading. I'm not going to go into to much detail here but just make sure the parts of his armor that is metal should be dark in some parts and shiny in others to give it a metallic look.
Step 6.
Shade in his cape. The parts of the cape close to his body should be EXTREMELY dark to give contrast to his armor. Using the guidelines you drew on his cape, leave some parts lighter to indicate folds. Continue shading his armor to look metallic.
Step 7.
Here's the finished product. Everything is darkened up, I've drawn in his chest plate and darkened the shoulder pad things and detailed the feathers. I noticed i didn't mention drawing the face, so you can do that now. Sorry if I didn't go over this very much, but in this picture his face doesn't need to much detail. Add a line for his mouth and a black edge on his nose to give it form without over outlining the nose. Remember that if you have trouble seeing the smaller details in the tutorial you can just click on it and zoom in. Have fun drawing this dude, woooooohoooo!
