How to Draw the Harlem Shake, Harlem Shake

The first thing you will need to do is draw out the handwritten letters that spell "harlem shake".

Start one letter at a time. I chose to go with the city style of graffiti which is a block looking style. The letters should come out looking messy but in a block manner.

Here you will draw the next letter which is a lower case A.

Draw the R next, and remember to add the shading and surface flaws like cracks, and dents.

The L should be pretty simple because it's just moving your pencil down, right and up.

Almost done with making the letters that spell Harlem. Draw in the E, then add the same style surface flaws.

Draw in the M to finish the word Harlem, then you will be ready to start spelling the next word which is 'shake'.

Okay, so begin the drawing design for the S, then add those quirky detailing lines and marks.

You will keep on going with making the letters for Shake from Harlem Shake. The H is a lower case letter which it might be a bit tricky because of the hump.

Draw in another A the same way you did the A from the word Harlem.

Lastly, draw in the K and E, both are in lower case form. Add detailing then erase the mistakes.

Here is the final drawing when you are all done. Color in your graffiti style letters, then show people what you have just made.

Description: So since the lesson on Swag got so many likes and comments, I thought I would make another graffiti style tutorial on "how to draw the Harlem Shake", step by step. The Harlem Shake is a dance that has been getting a lot of attention. So much attention in fact, it's been viral on Youtube for a while. I'm not a big graffiti artist which means my lettering skills are not on point. Even though, I still think you will enjoy drawing the Harlem Shake regardless. You can tweak this version of the dance description letters if you like. I will be back with more drawing fun. Adios people!
