Start off by sketching out three striped patterns like you see here. These are zebra style stripes, and they are a very popular pattern for all sorts of stuff like purses, clothes, and even jewelry.

2

You will then draw three more of the same stripes but this time draw them in the empty spaces between the three that you drew in step one. The lining should be thick, and very bold, and they should all have a wavy texture to them.

3

Thicken the lining and color in the stripes any shade you like. There are no guidelines to erase because the lining you drew in step one is actually the stripes themselves.

4

Here are the zebra stripes when you are all done. See how fun and east this whole lesson was? Now you have learned how to draw a pattern in the form of stripes.

Description: I know there are a few things and objects that are really important to learn how to draw. That is why over time I have submitted more than a few lessons on all kinds of stuff like paw prints, paws, patterns, and so on and so forth. Today I thought I would go ahead and teach you guys "how to draw stripes", step by step. I know this may seem like a no-brainer, but to some people who are struggling with drawing patterns, it's important to learn how to draw stripes of all sorts. Anybody can tackle this tutorial, and to be honest with you I know for a fact that some of you may even have fun. Drawing stripes, and other patterns is a great way to make background images for your drawing, or just for a pretty well decorated sketch that looks almost like an artistic collage. I don't know what else to say in this description because all you will be doing is drawing a pattern. I will be back with a more exciting tutorials to tackle to stay tuned in.
