How to Draw Ryuko Matoi from Kill La Kill

Step 1.


Make a circle for the head and then draw in the shoulders, arms and guidelines for the face and chest.

Step 2.


Use the face guides to sketch out the shape of her face, then begin drawing bangs and hair that is parted.

Step 3.


Next, draw the wide shapes of Ryuko's eyes. Notice that her eyebrows are thick and hollow shaped. Draw in the nose, mouth and her ears.

Step 4.


Finish the shape of her head, then draw the style which is in thick, different posed layers.

Step 5.


Here you will draw the neck, shoulders, and scarf or collar for the shirt that Ryuko is wearing.

Step 6.


Okay, we will proceed on and tackle the task of drawing in the rest of Ryuko's upper body. Her shirt is very baggy and doesn't cover her belly. Her arms are down so you won't need to draw in any hands.

Step 7.


All you have left to do is draw in the pin stripes on the collar, add dimpling to the knot and scarf ends, then draw in her suspenders, belly button and clothing detail to her sleeves.

Step 8.


Once all your mistakes and guides are erased you will have a drawing that looks like the one you see here. Now you can color in Ryuko and prepare yourself for another tut.
