How to Draw Pikmin

This is a very easy lesson to do. Start with a circle fro the head, and then add the facial guidelines. Next, draw the line that connects the two shapes, with the second being the lower body. Lastly, add a long looped line on the head.

You will now start sketching out the shape of the stem that is from the head, that is also tipped with a leaf like mass. This same line should also wrap around the head shape as well because it will be the lining for the head.

You will continue to draw out the shape of the head, and then eventually the body. When you are sketching out Pikmin's body, be sure to include the arms, and three fingered hands. Lastly, draw the eyes which are big, and bulging and add the colored i

As you can see you have reached your final step. All you need to do is draw the shapes of the legs and feet, and than you are done. Erase the lines that you drew as a frame for your game character to clean up your drawing.

Description: I wanted to do a quick and easy lesson on a character that is from a game that has been out since 2001 for the GameCube, and then later for the Wii in 2009. This tutorial is going to show you “how to draw Pikmin”, step by step. Pikmin is a game that is based around a character named Captain Olimar who is an astronaut that is from the planet Hocotate. The game or story starts when Olimar takes a vacation in outer space. While he is on his way to his destination, a comet hits his spaceship, and it is pulled into another planet that hasn't even been charted yet. Once the Captain lands on the planet he is eventually meets these creatures that he names “Pikmins”. The whole plot of the game is to find ship parts so that he can get off the planet and return home to earth. I have never played the game before, and I honestly don't think I ever will. I did this lesson as a request and I figured since the alien character is so cute, I might as well do a lesson on “how to draw Pikmin”. These alien lifeforms look a lot like underground vegetables. They are about one inch tall, and their bodies are slender, and long. Pikmin have heads, arms, legs, hands, and feet. To me, they are adorable, and I wouldn't mind owning one myself. The lesson in general is pretty easy, and I think you will have fun. I don't expect this tutorial to be that popular, but if it is, that will be a surprise to me.
