How to Draw Octodad

Step 1.


Begin by making an egg shape like so, then sketch in the facial guidelines.

Step 2.


The next thing you will do is draw out the large oblong shaped eyes like so. As you can see the eyes are drawn almost at the edge of the face.

Step 3.


We will now draw the shape of the head along with the tentacles that hand from the face which forms a makeshift mustache. Draw the lining on the top and bottom parts of the eyes to make that puffy look.

Step 4.


All you have to do here is draw in more tentacles that hang below the mustache looking ones, and then draw some in back of the head.

Step 5.


You will end this drawing lesson step by adding the top and bottom lids which make his eyes look half closed, then draw out the pupils, and add the final detailing to the face around the eyes and mouth area. Erase the mistakes and that is it.

Step 6.


Now that you have completed this lesson you should have a drawing that looks like the one you see here in front of you. Color in Octodad and show off your drawing to other folks like friends and family.

Description: Here is a character that some of you may recognize from an open source video game. The lesson is on "how to draw Octodad", step by step. I don't know a whole lot about this character but I do know that he is Octodad, and you are in control of him. Octodad poses as a human as he lives his day to day life with his family. I guess the whole objective of the game is to keep up with the charade as long as he can as he pretends to be human. Looking at this orange character sort of looks like a human if it wasn't for the face not having a nose. He dresses in a suit and tie and basically lives like a normal human would. If you like the game you will love drawing Octodad. I know many of you have been waiting for this tutorial so here it is finally. Have fun and peace out.
